Make Disciples

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” ~ Jesus, Matthew 28:18-20

The follow-up is the next step after we've shared the Gospel to a person. This process that has two objectives:

  1. To help new believers grow to full maturity in their relationship with Christ (Philippians 3:10; Colossians 1:28,29; 2:2,3).
  2. To help new believers become what we call  "multiplying disciples"  (2 Timothy 2:2).

We do not just want to add more people to our group of believers (spiritual addition). We want to make disciples who will make disciples who will in turn make more disciples (spiritual multiplication).
